FawnsAugust 2006

While outside in the cooler weather, Sue told me that there was a white-tailed fawn grazing on the grass. The fawn was about 500 feet away, but a long lens is very convenient.

While watching, the doe and a second fawn appeared as if by magic. One moment, the first fawn was by itself; the next, it had company.

  Then they disappeared.

Photography note: The photos were taken with a Pentax *ist D and the SMC 1000mm reflex lens.
