Day of Caring at CWC

On October 2, 2014, Centre Wildlife Care (CWC) benefited through the United Way's Day of Caring. Jennifer Mastrofski and volunteers from Restek worked at CWC, painting/staining a new raptor enclosure (for nonreleaseable birds) and cleaning crates in preparation of next year's baby boom.

They were a remarkable group of spirited people!

First is a group portrait in front of the finished raptor enclosure.

The volunteers worked in two teams. The first involved cleaning crates.

The painting team (Sara, AJ, and Tracey) had taken out the divider to finish the staining before putting it back into place.

The painting team also handled various miscellaneous chores.

The scene stealer at the end of the day was Aurora (a barred owl), who is nonreleaseable because of an eye problem and who will be seen during Robyn's educational programs.

By the end of the day, I believe everyone had at least one photo of Aurora.

An enormous thank you to one and all!
