Bumblebees | July 5, 2015 |
Bumblebees are such amazing insects, and so I thought to present three large macros of my recent photos.
The first one is on thistle. At the start of the warm weather, I didn't see too many bees, but once the thistle came into bloom, the bees came out. |
Of course, bumblebees enjoy other flowers too. |
Finally, for today, here is an example of bumblebee buzzing. |
All in all, bumblebees are a treat to watch and photograph.
Photo note: The photos were taken with the Pentax K20D and the Pentax SMC-A* 200mm macro lens during May and June in the Toftrees game land, north of Cooper's Pond, State College, Pennsylvania. |
