Dewdrops on a Spiderweb | September 2003 |
Some spiders prefer their webs across grass, rather than hanging suspended. Ground webs are excellent for collecting dewdrops, sometimes quite fine and other times fair-sized drops. The following web has larger drops.
Seen closer, these dewdrops are refracting light, reflecting light, or both. |
Photo note: Both photos were taken with a Sony F707 digital camera, without and with a closeup filter. |
