Challenged Flying Snow Geese at Middle Creek, PA | March 24, 2011 |
With some 60,000 snow geese at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, Pennsylvania, this year, you can expect to see some atypical behavior.
For example, the first flap of a thousand-mile journey is not necessary the most difficult. And what went through the snow goose's mind during the following maneuvers? Flying's pretty good today. |

How embarrassing! It's becoming worse and worse. |
I think I'm getting the hang of it now.

(To be fair to the challenged snow goose, the winds were very strong in the morning.)
